Your outfits and the stage backdrop appear together in almost every photo. When they work together, the pictures look balanced; when they clash, even beautiful décor can feel distracting.
Share your outfit early
Send photos or fabric swatches of the main outfits to your decorator as soon as they are chosen. Include the colors of embroidery and jewelry, not only the base fabric.
Contrast, don’t copy
A backdrop in exactly the same red as a bridal lehenga can make the outfit disappear. Choose a lighter or deeper shade, or a complementary color. Red and gold outfits stand out against ivory, blush or soft gold backdrops; pastel outfits look striking against deeper tones.
Watch the details
- Metallic accents should match the jewelry tone, gold or silver.
- Busy prints in the backdrop compete with heavy embroidery.
- Flowers near the couple’s seat should frame faces, not block them.
Consider each event
Haldi, mehndi, sangeet and reception outfits are often very different. Plan the palette for each event separately so every set of photos feels intentional.
