Some venues do half the design work for you. For a wedding week beside a lake in Little Elm, Texas, Shreeda Events designed the Haldi, Mehndi, Sangeet and wedding décor, letting the water and trees become part of every setup. We shared the celebration on our Instagram in March 2026.
The four events
- Haldi: a bright, colorful setup with traditional elements. The photo shows yellow and orange drapes, a red seat and a flower-bordered pink carpet at the water's edge.
- Mehndi: an elegant backdrop with floral accents.
- Sangeet: a glamorous stage with modern lighting.
- Wedding: a romantic lakeside mandap with luxurious décor.
Designing with a natural view
When the setting is this beautiful, the décor should frame it, not block it. Open-sided stages keep the lake visible behind the couple, and strong colors such as marigold and fuchsia stand out against green trees and blue water in photos.
Planning an outdoor wedding week
Several events in one place need a plan for every change-over: what stays, what moves and how much time the team has in between. Outdoors, consider wind, the sun's direction at each event, power for lighting and flooring on soft ground. A weather backup plan is essential.
