Welcoming Bappa calls for a setting that feels devotional and grand. This Ganesh Chaturthi setup, shared on our Facebook page in September 2026, combines a carved throne, rich florals and a pair of elephant figures.
The design
- An ornate arch in pink and gold frames the idol like a temple throne.
- Two elephant figures with red and gold trappings stand on either side, a traditional symbol of welcome and strength.
- Red and pink flowers crown the arch and fill a tall urn.
- Red drapes and a red table covering pull the palette together, with soft white light behind the arch.
Why the elements work together
Elephants and a carved arch give the setup a regal, temple-inspired feel, while the red and pink palette keeps it festive. Symmetry matters in devotional décor: matching pieces on each side guide the eye to the idol at the center.
Planning Ganesh Chaturthi décor
Decide where the idol will sit and measure the space, including ceiling height, before choosing a backdrop. Keep a clear area for aarti and offerings, place diyas and candles away from drapes, and choose florals that stay fresh for the days of the festival. Ask your priest about traditions for direction and placement.
