A new home deserves a welcome that starts before guests step inside. For this housewarming, shared on our Instagram in May 2026, Shreeda Events decorated the home from the garage door to the staircase in marigold yellow, green and white.
The design, space by space
- Garage: a marigold and white flower toran runs across the garage door, so the celebration is visible from the street.
- Front door: a green foliage wall, gold drapes, lotus-motif panels and hanging marigold strings frame the entrance.
- Staircase: green fabric swags and clouds of baby's breath follow the railing, with marigold strands hanging below.
- Puja area: marigold garlands line the counter in front of the deity setup.
Why repeat one palette
Using the same yellow, green and white in every space ties the house together, so guests feel the celebration as they move from room to room. Fresh-flower textures look rich up close, which matters in a home where guests stand right next to the décor.
Planning décor for a home
Homes have tighter spaces than banquet halls. Plan where guests remove shoes, keep walkways and stairs clear, and use fixings that will not damage new walls or railings.
